Follow these simple tips to easily and
inexpensively refinish your kitchen cabinets with Velvet Finishes.
Ready is our cleaner and deglosser spray product.
Spray Ready on the surface, allow it sit for a minute,
then wipe off with a lint free rag. We recommend that this process be done twice for cabinetry.
More than likely Ready will handle your prep but in the odd chance you do not end up with a deglossed enough surface to begin painting, lightly scuff with a medium grit sanding block. Sanding and priming is generally a thing of the past with Ready.
Choose your favorite colour or choose several.
Then paint away!

For your third step you will want to use our Protect or Enhance Glaze.
Cabinets take a lot of abuse and it is important to provide an added layer of protection.
Protect is our polyacrylic topcoat and dries to a clear matte sheen.
Because it has a slightly higher sheen that the paint we mix a little paint in with the Protect before applying. This helps cut down on any chance of streaking.
Enhance Glaze is another way to provide protection, as our Glaze
has a sealer for the base.
Our Dark Glaze is mixed and ready for use. It’s a beautiful rich brown.
You can mix your own glaze color by mixing Velvet Finishes Colour
with our Clear Glaze, for a truly custom look.
